It was announced that Nobody Wants This is coming back with a second season. After the staggering success of the show, the makers saw it fit to introduce more characters and increase the dramatic tensions. While speculations were at an all-time high on social media, it has recently been confirmed that Adam Brody’s (Rabbi Noah Roklov) wife Leighton Meester is joining the cast. Along with her, A Man on the Inside actor Miles Fowler will guest star.
Meester is scheduled to portray Joanne’s (Kristen Bell) childhood nemesis Abby. She is an Instagram mommy influencer who returns to Joanne’s life to add in spice. Fowler will appear as Lenny, Noah’s Matzah Ballers teammate who gets set up with Joanne’s sister Morgan (Justine Lupe).
The show became widely popular globally for its relatable plot and romcom-ish setting. Adam and Kristen’s kissing scene was widely appreciated and discussed as well. During New Yorker Festival, Kristen’s husband Dax Shephard reacted to the same. She said, “My friend … we watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I’d argue is the very best kissing scene ever, ever put on film.”
