In a recent interview, Madhuri came out in defence of her Devdas co-star, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was body shamed over her 2026 Cannes look. In a recent interview with PTI, Madhuri Dixit was asked to share her take on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being body shamed and trolled for her 2026 Cannes look. In response, Madhuri mentioned that Aishwarya holds a legacy to go to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and has been continuing it for the past 20 years. The 52-year-old actress made the whole country proud with her dazzling appearance. Madhuri described Aishwarya as a global star. She was quoted as saying:
“Especially Aishwarya, when she went to Cannes, she has a legacy. She has been going there for 20 years. She has made the whole country proud. She is a global star. You cannot reduce her to a number on a scale, a number on the dress or the size or a number on the calendar years. You cannot reduce her to that. She is beautiful. She looks beautiful, but she is beautiful inside. I have worked with her. I think people have to realise that.”
