
Manoj Kumar, who was affectionately called ‘Bharat Kumar’, was known for playing patriotic roles in movies like Kranti, and Upkar. The actor, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, was cremated with state honours and a three-gun salute. Reportedly, the cause of death of Manoj was due to severe heart attack caused by cardiogenic shock. He was also suffering from liver cirrhosis for many months, which worsened his condition. Now, Manoj’s son, Kunal Goswami shared how he is happy that the good deeds of his father have been loved by people.

Manoj Kumar was cremated at Juhu Pawan Hans with full state honours. The last rites began at 11.30 am and Manoj’s sons, Vishal and Kunal gave mukh agni of the actor. The Padma Shri recipient’s coffin was draped with the national flag of India, and the ambulance was also decorated with flowers. A heartbroken Kunal, in an interview with Instant Bollywood from the cremation ground, said:
“Yeh baat sahi ki hai. Aaj mujhe bahut garv lag raha hai kyuki jiss tarah Maharashtra government nei Indian government nei itni izzat se state honours dia hai aur etni izzat se etne bade bade kalakar aaye hai. Apna aadarsh dikhane. I am thankful to everybody and I am glad mere father ka karm, kaam, nature logo koi acha laga hai.”
