Boxing legend, Mary Kom and her ex-husband, Onler, are again making headlines for their personal life. A few days back, Mary made some shocking claims against her ex-husband on a public forum. Reacting to her claims, her ex-husband, Onler, accused her of cheating twice. He also claimed that their older children are reportedly upset with their mother’s alleged affairs. Now, a while ago, Mary Kom publicly apologised for the words she said on national television.
Mary Kom opens up about her marriage with Onler
In 2017, Mary and her then-husband, Onler, appeared on the talk show, The Tara Sharma Show. During the interview, there were various moments where the boxing legend credited her then-husband for her success. In fact, their seemingly perfect marriage led Omung Kumar to make a film on her life. For the unversed, Omung Kumar directed the 2014 Mary Kom biopic starring Priyanka Chopra and Darshan Kumar. After her statement on the national television show, Aap Ki Adalat, regarding her married life, people trolled her. Clarifying what she tried to say, Mary, now in a video, said:
“Mein ye clarify karna chahti hoon, ye nahi ki meri shaadi kabhi success hi nahi thi. Sab theek tha kafi saal tak. Lekin baad mein jab trust completely tut gaya tab cheezen badli. Iske bawajood yeh ki clarify karna chahti hoon, apne divorce ke baad, April 2025, mein mere khilaaf jo press release circulate hua uske baad bhi maine public ya media mein koi statement nahi diya. Mein hamesha dignity aur restraint ke saath khud ko conduct kar rahi hoon.”
