Prime Video has announced that upcoming series Maa Ka Sum will premiere globally on April 3. Directed by Nicholas Kharkongor and produced by Babita Ashiwal under Eunoia Films, the lighthearted drama explores a unique and heartwarming relationship between a single mother and her teenage son. The show features Mona Singh, Mihir Ahuja, Angira Dhar and Ranveer Brar in key roles and will be available in Hindi with subtitles in several regional languages.

At its core, Maa Ka Sum follows 19-year-old Agastya, a math prodigy who views life through numbers, patterns and algorithms. Played by Mihir Ahuja, his character believes every problem has a logical solution, including finding the ideal partner for his mother Vinita, portrayed by Mona Singh. What begins as a calculated plan soon turns into an emotional and unpredictable journey.

As Agastya sets out on his self-designed mission, things don’t go exactly as expected. His structured approach starts to clash with the complexities of real emotions and relationships, leading to moments that are both humorous and heartfelt. The story balances its quirky premise with a deeper look at love, growing up, and the evolving bond between a mother and son.

Speaking about the series, the makers highlighted how Maa Ka Sum brings a fresh perspective to familiar relationships. With its blend of warmth, humour, and relatable situations, the show aims to connect with viewers across age groups. The eight-episode series will stream exclusively on Prime Video across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
