Jennifer ‘Jen’ Vrabel, the wife of Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel, once described their enduring bond, detailing their cosy, quality time. During a 2019 conversation with ESPN’s Turron Davenport, she mentioned that Fridays were her and Mike’s designated “date night”. The tradition lasted through his transition from player to coach. The Friday date nights became a routine because their teenage son would often be at high school football games, giving them private time. Their son didn’t want to hang out with them, which gave the couple a chance to spend quality time. She said:
“Fridays are always our nights because we have a teenage son that doesn’t want to hang out with Mom and Dad, so he goes to high school football games. It’s fun. He’s usually home earlier, and we grab dinner. When he coached in college, he really didn’t have a night like that, so we cherish that night.”
