The Mumbai Police have begun investigating a shooting incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence. They have also questioned both Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty’s managers. For those unaware, the investigations come after the two receive fresh threats through a fresh audio clip from the alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the new audio clip, a person claiming to be Harry Boxer, has threatened Singh for allegedly going back on his word. He has also warned him, his staff and his family to “fall in line.” Harry Boxer was reportedly in the news last year for allegedly firing shots at Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada.
While Mumbai police are still judging the authenticity of the audio clip, as per India Today, they are trying to recreate the sequences of events related to the case. The detailed reconstruction was carried out with the four accused in custody, namely Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure and Samarth Pomaji. Investigators reconstructed their movements, from buying a scooter in Pune to driving it to Mumbai. They also made multiple stops along the way and eventually left the scooter parked outside Vile Parle station.
The officers reportedly spoke to the accused, crosschecked their statements and reevaluated their actions at each stage. The reconstruction will serve as evidence in court as well. The report further suggests that the suspects were continuously questioned and the details were largely verified.
As the sequence of events was recreated, officials also gathered fresh financial details. The accused disclosed that once the scooter was handed over in Mumbai, the key accused, Shubham Lonkar, gave them an extra Rs 11,000. While earlier accounts mentioned a payment of Rs 40,000, revised findings indicate that Rs 51,000 changed hands in total. Rs 30,000 went toward purchasing the scooter and the remaining Rs 21,000 was spent on other expenses. The sixth accused, Praveen Lonkar, will also be taken into custod within the next few days.
