Actor-producer Niharika Konidela established a name for herself in Tollywood by playing versatile roles and producing films. She turned producer by bankrolling web series like Muddapappu Avakai, Nanna Koochi, Hello World, Oka Chinna Family Story, Mad House and Bench Life.
In 2024, she ventured into feature film production with the rustic comedy drama Committee Kurrollu. Made on a shoestring the film featured newcomers and explores the lives of friends in a village. The movie was a nostalgic ride which explores the themes of friendship, loyalty, politics, rural culture and traditions. The movie received well by the critics and audiences and went on to become a huge success at the box office.
Niharika announced her second feature film production. The yet-to-be-titled film will be helmed by Manasa Sharma and stars Sangeeth Shobhan as the lead actor. Shobhan is one of the promising young actors in the Telugu film industry, who gained an immense fan following with his sensational performances in superhit films MAD and MAD Square. The new film will mark his first major theatrical release as a solo lead hero.
Sangeeth earlier worked with Niharika and Manasa for the web series, Oka Chinna Family Story. While he played the lead actor, Niharika bankrolled the project and Manasa served as a writer. Manasa also worked as a director for Niharika’s other production outing, Bench Life. So, the new film is more like a reunion for the trio. Mahesh Uppala co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues with Manasa Sharma. The film is likely to have a talented cast and crew members. With Niharika and Sangeeth Shoban’s recent track record, the film promises to be a fun and engaging treat for audiences. Sangeeth Shobhan too is on a high after the blockbuster success of Mad. The actor is winning brownie points for his comic timing and fun dialogue delivery.
