In the recent episode, the actress had an emotional moment as she celebrated Holi for the first time in three years. Nikki has now spoken up about why she stayed away from the fun-filled festival all these years.
Nikki Tamboli has not celebrated Holi since her brother’s death
Nikki Tamboli’s elder brother, Jatin Tamboli, passed away in May 2021, due to complications related to COVID-19, as he was also battling pneumonia and tuberculosis. The family was shattered by his untimely death, and Nikki hasn’t celebrated Holi since. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress spoke up about the reason behind it, stating that it did not feel the same without her brother. She confessed:
“For the past three years, I haven’t played Holi the way I used to after my brother’s passing. The festival just hasn’t felt the same without him.”
