The makers have released the teaser for Shahid Kapoor starrer O’Romeo, introducing him and other actors featuring in the movie. The film marks his reunion with acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and promises a gripping revenge romance. It marks Shahid and Vishal’s fourth collaboration after Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon. The striking teaser introduces the world of O’Romeo, giving audiences a first look at its intense emotional tone and diverse ensemble cast.
From the teaser, it is evident that the lead story is of Shahid and Triptii Dimri’s unfinished love. The glimpses explore passion, love and brutality, all mixed together. Shahid is seen embracing a rowdy avatar, who is bogged down due to unrequited love. The ensemble cast include Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani, Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia. Their glimpses show a different side of the actors. What intrigued fans was Farida Jalal’s character. The actress is mostly known for her heartwarming motherly roles. However, in the teaser, she is seen saying, “Rise in love, and you’re a Romeo. Drown in it, and you’re a c**tiya.”
Some time back, a character poster, serving as the first look from the movie was out for the audience to get a glimpse into the world of O’Romeo. In the poster, Shahid was seen in a bloody avatar, which continues in the recently released teaser. Shahid hasn’t opened up about his role yet; however, fans can already find similarities between this character and Kabir Singh. The similarities are mostly in terms of rowdiness and temperament. Many fans have also compared the looks with that of Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal. In the brutal glimpses, Triptii Dimri’s character brings about a soft edge, as she is introduced last. Shahid’s Romeo looks at her longingly before the teaser concludes.
The movie is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It is set to be released on February 13, 2026.
