Paresh Rawal has finally cleared the air around the ongoing speculation surrounding Hera Pheri 3, assuring fans that the film is very much happening despite the current delays. In a recent interview, the actor stressed that the hold-up has nothing to do with him and is instead linked to unresolved matters between Akshay Kumar and the producers. “The film is not stuck. It will definitely be made,” Rawal confidently stated.
Speaking on The Lavari Show, Rawal addressed rumours suggesting his involvement in the delay and dismissed them outright. Referring to reports about Akshay Kumar allegedly suing him for Rs 25 crore, the actor said, “All this that had blown up in between… that is all okay yaa, it’s like kachva chaap agarbatti.” He clarified that he is ready to sign the film as soon as the issues between Akshay and the makers are sorted.
Rawal further described the disagreement as a “technical issue” and denied any serious legal trouble surrounding the project. Emphasising his distance from the ongoing discussions, he added, “Nothing to do with me,” making it clear that the matter lies entirely between the other parties involved in the film’s production.
Earlier, in a separate interview, Rawal had spoken about the importance of his iconic character Baburao in the franchise. He openly warned against sidelining the character, saying, “If they’re going with the idea of doing Hera Pheri without Babu Rao, then it will be a disaster.” His statement underlined how central Baburao is to the franchise, which remains one of India’s most loved and endlessly quoted comedy series.
