Photos: Imtiaz Ali Brings Together Diljit Dosanjh AR Rahman and Irshad Kamil for Main Vaapas Aaunga

Diljit Dosanjh and AR Rahman have come together for a landmark musical collaboration as they record a song for Imtiaz Ali’s film Main Vaapas Aaunga, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. In one of the most exciting musical collaborations of 2026, the filmmaker Ali unites the two icons for the first time for the track Kya Kamaal Hai.

The song is written by the award-winning lyricist Irshad Kamil. Marking their first-ever collaboration, the artistes came together in the city today to record the song.

Diljit looked handsome in a black shirt paired with capri pants, while AR Rahman opted for a black T-shirt, trousers, and a brown jacket. Imtiaz Ali kept it crisp in a black shirt and jeans, and Irshad Kamil wore a printed T-shirt with jeans.
Besides lending his voice for the song, Diljit also stars in it along with Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina. Main Vaapas Aaunga will be released in cinemas on June 12, 2026.
