Biker has garnered praise from Rebel Star Prabhas, whose friends Vamsi and Pramod have produced the summer theatrical release. After viewing the recently released theatrical trailer, the Salaar and Baahubali actor shared that the film’s engaging energy and unique vibe seem to be perfectly executed. “Loved the vibe of the trailer. Looks very engaging,” the Kalki 2898 AD actor wrote, extending his best wishes to Sharwanand and UV Creations.
A Defining Movie
At Sunday’s trailer launch event, lead actor Sharwanand described the film as a potential blockbuster that will “resonate across India.” He highlighted that the story is a fresh addition to Indian cinema, matching Hollywoodian standards. “You are going to see a new Sharwanand,” the hero added. The actor, whose Nari Nari Naduma Murari was a Sankranthi hit earlier this year, also noted that the film makes an effort to clearly explain the intricacies and rules of motor racing to the audience.
Two Timelines
Senior actor Rajasekhar plays a non-leading yet pivotal role as the hero’s father. Director Abhilash Reddy Kankara shared that the film’s authenticity stems from its dual-timeline narrative, spanning the early 1990s and 2000s. To ensure realism, the team utilized period-specific motorcycles and focused on intense physical preparation, with Sharwanand undergoing a transformation to portray a professional racer. Producer Bunny Vas further teased that the second half of the film, supported by cutting-edge sound design and Ghibran’s score, is designed to be top-notch.
An Ambitious Climax
The climax was shot in rare terrain on an Indonesian island. As many as fifty racers from different countries flew to the location for the episode. Biker is set to hit cinemas on April 3. Malvika Nair will be seen as the hero’s love interest.
