R Madhavan and actor Siddharth marked their third collaboration with the film Test. Before that, they starred in the 2004 film Aayutha Ezhuthu and Rang De Basanti in 2006. Recently, the actors recreated one of their iconic dialogues from Rang De Basanti. The film also starred Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, among others.
Netflix India shared a video titled “How it started and how it’s going” where we see the screen split into two. First, they play out a scene from the film where Siddharth’s character compliments Madhavan’s jacket. Cut to the present day where we see Siddharth once again complementing Madhavan’s jacket. He says, “sexy jacket bro” to which the latter replies, “Thank you. You want this one too?” Siddharth further responds, “I’ll get it eventually.”
The caption of the post read, “Rang De Basanti Maddy and Sid – you will always be famous Watch TEST, out now in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, only on Netflix! #TESTOnNetflix” Aditi Rao Hydari, who was impressed by the video, dropped a couple of emojis in the comment section.
About Rang De Basanti
Rang De Basanti is a coming-of-age political drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It follows a British film student, Sue, whose grandfather served as a colonel in the British army. He oversaw the execution of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru and wrote about them in his diary. After reading it, Sue decides to come to India to make a film on those freedom fighters. She befriends five young men and casts them in her film. However, things go haywire when one of their friends is killed due to government negligence, and the men are inspired by the freedom fighters to fight present-day corruption.
