Meanwhile, Peddi is being made on a budget of approximately Rs 300 crore. It features a rural 1980s backdrop, high-end production values, and music by AR Rahman. The sheer financial scale of both films ensures that their producers will prioritize a solo theatrical window. A release on April 30 would have given Tollywood much-needed respite from a dull phase post-Sankranthi.
