Rani Mukerji and Chiranjeevi to star together in a Srikanth Odela project?

Telugu film industry megastar, Chiranjeevi had recently shared that he would be collaborating with Dasara director Srikanth Odela on a project tentatively titled Mega157. Fans are excitedly anticipating updates on Chiranjeevi’s new film. According to recent reports, Rani Mukerji is being considered to play a pivotal role in the project.

According to Times Now, the makers are attempting to bring Rani on board for a leading role. However, neither the makers, nor Rani have opened up about it. If the actress decides to join the project, it will mark her second South Indian movie, the first being Hey Ram (2000). She starred in it alongside Kamal Haasan.

The recent reports further suggest that Srikanth Odela is looking to cast a prominent name and considers Rani to do justice. Many rumours have been doing rounds on social media, which speculate that the film will be set against the backdrop of the 90s. Chiranjeevi’s character will reportedly be crafted to be stylish and unique yet match his age. It is scheduled to be produced by Sudhakar Cherkuri. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.

On the professional front, Chiranjeevi is currently finishing off his film with Mallidi Vassishta, titled Vishwambhara. The fantasy movie also stars Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Ashika Ranganath and more in leading roles. He has also signed a project with Bhagavanth Kesari director Anil Ravipudi. He is said to be a comedy film, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Rani Mukerji hasn’t shared an update about her next film yet. She was last seen in Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway (2023). Alongside Rani, it starred Jim Sarbh, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Neena Gupta in prominent roles.
