Rani Mukerji also starred in hit films, but it was during her initial films that she received a big blow after Aamir Khan told her that the makers would dub her voice in Ghulam. Recently, Rani talked about the emotional moment and how Karan Johar helped her retain her voice.
Rani Mukerji opened up about getting her voice dubbed at the start of her career
As Rani Mukerji gears up for the release of Mardaani 3, she is busy with a promotional spree. Recently, at an event with Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji discussed her 30-year journey. She recalled that when she was shooting for Ghulam, Aamir Khan told her that her voice wasn’t appropriate for the character or the film, so someone else would dub it. While the decision was upsetting for her, Rani couldn’t show it, as it was for the film. She said:
“I could not show the fact that I was upset because you need to be a team player when you are part of the film… Even if there are personal disappointments it does not matter if the intent is true for the film.”
