However, things went south when the podcaster’s statement created a wave of controversy online. Even though Ranveer posted an apology video addressing his crass remark on the show, netizens found that the joke was copied.

Ranveer Allahbadia has dug himself a deep hole, and netizens are not willing to let him out yet. After the YouTuber issued an apology, many users on social media pointed out that the bizarre remark used by Ranveer was not even his original bit. Netizens dug out a video which showed that the joke was copied from some other YouTube show that often uses such humour.
