NASA astronaut, Reid Wiseman is currently in focus as he touched down on Earth after the completion of a historic Artemis II mission on April 10, 2026 (ET). His four-person moon research crewmates consisted of Victor Glover (Pilot), Christina Koch (Mission Specialist), and Jeremy Hansen (Mission Specialist). Interestingly, Reid Wiseman’s late wife, Carroll Taylor Wiseman, became a part of the mission when his crewmates named a lunar crater after her. Did Reid Wiseman’s daughters want him to be a stay-at-home dad?
After Reid Wiseman‘s wife, Carroll Taylor Wiseman, died on May 17, 2020, the astronaut has been raising their daughters, Katherine and Ellie Wiseman, all by himself. The girls were both minors when their mother passed away, and they needed their father to be around the most. They are currently 20 and 17 as of April 2026. The period right after Carroll’s death was difficult for both the kids and their dad, Reid, all the more because of the nature of his job. During an April 2026 interview with CBS, days before he went on the Artemis II mission, he shared that his daughters had initially wanted him to be a stay-at-home dad.
