Renee Nicole Good died in a fatal shooting

On January 7, 2026, Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during a federal operation in south Minneapolis. Bystander video shows three ICE agents surrounding Renee’s vehicle and ordering her to exit. As she reversed and then attempted to drive away, turning her vehicle to the right, an agent standing near the front-left of the car fired three shots in rapid succession through the windshield. She was struck in the head, and her car crashed into a light pole several feet away. After being shot, Renee was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
