Ruby Dhalla was born in 1974 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ruby and her brother, Neil were raised by a single mother, who used to work as a bookkeeper and child care worker. Ruby’s mom used to make her and her brother watch TV every night before they went to bed, and this has ultimately proved to be the root of Ruby’s political career. Talking about her education, Ruby had her studies going on at the University of Winnipeg. In 1995, Ruby acquired a degree in biochemistry with a minor in political science from the University of Winnipeg. Apart from that, she also acquired her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic medicine in 1999.
