On February 4, 2025, Sabyasachi Mukherjee took to his IG handle and shared a note, wherein he thanked the Birla family and specially Kumar Mangalam Birla. In his note, the designer shared how the Birla family contributed to nation-building, along with preserving art, culture, and education in India. Sabyasachi wrote that although his and Kumar Mangalam Birla’s lives were different, it was their shared values of the importance of preserving art and culture, which bound them.
