Actor Saif Ali Khan is out of surgery and is recovering now. Doctors are constantly monitoring his improvement. After the surgery, a doctor from Lilavati Hospital shared details about the nature of Saif’s injury and said that he sustained deep wounds on his left hand and a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord.
He said, “He (Saif Ali Khan) sustained major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to lodged knife in the spine. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and also repair the leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one on the neck was repaired by plastic surgery team.”
He added that the entire surgery was monitored by Dr Srinivas Kuruva as a cardiologist and the actor is now completely stable and out of danger.
Meanwhile, as per a statement shared by his team, “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital.”
