Salman Khan Gets Emotional After Legendary Actor Manoj Kumars Demise

After Manoj Kumar’s demise, several prominent figures from the Indian film industry paid a tribute to him and remembered his contribution to Hindi cinema. Actor Salman Khan took to social media to offer his condolences as well. He took to Twitter to pen a post that read, “Manoj Kumar Ji… a true legend. Thank you for the unforgettable films and memories.”

Manoj Kumar worked with Salman’s father, Salim Kha,n on the film Kranti, which went on to become a huge hit.The cult classic was produced, edited and directed by Kumar, who also wrote the dialogues. Salim-Javed wrote the story and screenplay. Not just Kranti but Kumar’s filmography boasted several nationalistic films such as Upkar, Purab Aur Pachhim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan and Shaheed. His role as Bharat in Upkar was loved so much by the audiences that he became known by that name. In a lot of his patriotic and nationalist films, he named his character Bharat to live up to the image.

Earlier in the day, Aamir Khan also paid a heartfelt tribute to Kumar. Calling the late actor an institution, Khan said, “Manoj Kumar was not just an actor, and filmmaker, he was an institution. I have learnt so much watching his films. His films were often based on important social themes which brought him really close to the common man. My heartfelt condolences to his family.”
Manoj Kumar passed away at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital after suffering a cardiogenic shock following an acute myocardial infarction. He was already struggling with decompensated liver cirrhosis. His cremation will take place tomorrow.

Talking of Salman Khan, the actor recently released his film Sikandar in the theatres, however, it did not match up to the expectation of the audience.
