The Nampally Court in Hyderabad has issued crucial notices in connection with the tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre, which took place in December 2024, a day before the release of Pushpa 2. The court has ordered those involved to appear in person on June 22. As is known, the Icon Star is an accused in the case and has been named as Accused No. 11 (A11). Summons have been issued to 19 individuals to ensure their presence.
Meanwhile, the police have already filed a detailed chargesheet against 23 accused persons. The legal action stems from a chaotic stampede that occurred on December 4, 2024. During the incident, a woman named Revathi lost her life, while her young son, Shritej, sustained serious injuries. The court is now moving forward with the trial proceedings.

How the tragedy happened
The incident took place during the high-profile premiere screening of Pushpa 2. A massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of the lead actor. Chaos erupted when Allu Arjun arrived and waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. Local police had to resort to a lathi charge to control the surging crowd. In the ensuing rush, Revathi and her son fell and were trampled. Police personnel performed emergency CPR on the victims before rushing them to a nearby hospital. Revathi succumbed to her injuries during treatment, while her son remained in critical condition for months. The police subsequently registered a case against the theatre management, the actor, and his security team.

Personal assistance by Allu Arjun
Following the tragedy, the Raaka actor stepped forward to support the grieving family. He extended substantial financial assistance to Shritej to help secure his future. The actor personally donated Rs 1 crore to the family. Additionally, his father, Allu Aravind, contributed Rs 2 crore to support them during this difficult period.
