Satluj’s global takedown triggers intense backlash
Diljit Dosanjh’s Satluj has been one of the most talked-about films in recent times. It follows the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra and his battle against the missing citizens who were allegedly killed by the police post-1984 riots in Punjab. Those who saw the film were left stunned, while those who missed it have been looking for alternatives to see it.
Amid that, the global takedown of Satluj has triggered massive backlash online. Satluj’s ban from Zee5 in India had already sparked an intense wave of controversy. Amid that, social media users have further expressed their dismay over the film’s removal on platforms like X and Reddit, writing that the movie is no longer available outside India. A user wrote, “So it’s been removed internationally as well.”
