Shahid Kapoor Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon to begin filming Cocktail 2?

Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon are reportedly cast in Cocktail 2. The Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty starrer Cocktail was a big hit and fans have been interested in knowing more about a sequel. While the makers haven’t shared confirmations, Shahid, Rashmika and Kriti will apparently be helming the movie.

According to recent reports by a leading portal, the filming for the sequel will start this summer. Shahid will be taking the franchise forward. The urban rom-com story will explore love and friendship with an entertaining twist. However, Shahid is currently wrapping up Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller, so he will begin filming Cocktail 2 after that.

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon is currently filming Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishq Mein, alongside Dhanush. Rashmika Mandanna was a part of three big movies recently, including Pushpa 2: The Rule, Chhaava and Sikandar.

Fans were excited to know that Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were reuniting for Cocktail 2. Many are speculating that the upcoming movie would be as engaging as its prequel. In Cocktail, Veronica (Deepika Padukone) welcomes her boyfriend Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) and her new friend Meera (Diana Penty) into her home. Though they live happily for some time, their lives get complicated when Gautam begins developing feelings for Meera.

During a previous interview, Deepika had opened up about playing Veronica. She said, “I felt I finally understood what the medium really is, and the impact cinema can have on people and society. I began to get more comfortable with myself, and everything just started making sense to me. When you see the film fraternity as an outsider, you imagine it to be a certain way, and I was not fearful anymore.”
