Shoojit Sircar and Abhishek Bachchan’s I Want to Talk was loved by critics and movie lovers and some even called it the actor’s career best performance. However, the film failed to leave a mark at the box office.
Talking about the same, director Shoojit Sircar revealed that he was disoriented by the film’s poor performance. “Box office collections disturb you. I was completely disoriented,” said the filmmaker.
The film revolves around Arjun Sen who is diagnosed with terminal laryngeal cancer and undergoes over 20 surgeries. It shows the man’s zest to recover and live and also explores his relationship with his daughter. The film is currently streaming on OTT where it has found a lot of love. Sircar shared that seeing the positive reactions, he is hopeful about the future of the film.
