The 26-year-old Pune-based businessman was killed by Chetan Chaudhary, the lover of his fiancée, Siya Goyal, ahead of their wedding. What was initially reported on June 18, 2026, as an accidental 400-foot fall from Lohagad Fort was later exposed as a planned murder. Amid the ongoing investigation, Siya’s parents made shocking revelations about her love life.
Siya Goyal was desirable even in her teens
In an interview with India Today, Siya’s father, Praveen Goyal, revealed that his daughter received a marriage proposal from her late fiancé, Ketan Agarwal‘s side, when she was just 19. It suggests that Siya Goyal was desirable and considered a good fit to be a family’s daughter-in-law, even in her teens. Praveen recalled someone approaching his brother at a wedding party in Goa and asking about Siya and her family. The person put forward a marriage proposal on behalf of Ketan’s family; however, Siya’s father promptly denied it as she was too young. Praveen stated:
“Someone asked my brother whose daughter she was. When they learnt she was my daughter, they asked if we would consider a marriage proposal. At that time, we declined because Siya was only 19 and we were in no hurry to get her married. My brother-in-law told them Siya was still young, but Aman Agarwal said both families could first complete the elder sibling’s marriage and then move ahead with Siya’s alliance.”
