Scandalous will mark Colman Domingo’s directional debut and will follow the real-life love story of Kim Novak and late musician Sammy Davis Jr. It was said that Sydney Sweeney would complete her work for Euphoria season 3 before focusing on Scandalous. However, ahead of the same, the movie has been hitting headlines with Kim Novak’s recent comment, wherein she said that Sweeney is ‘wrong to play her role’.

It was back in October 2025, when Sydney Sweeney sat for an interview with PEOPLE, wherein she revealed that while she hadn’t met Kim Novak yet, she was very excited about the same.
