Ahead of the release of Vvan: Force of the Forest, the team unveiled the comic book The Legend of Vvan at the 2026 edition of Comic Con in Mumbai. Present at the event were Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ektaa Kapoor, along with comic creators Alok Kumar and Saumin Patel.
In a rare move, the makers launched a comic book based on the film even before its release, expanding the universe after carefully developing the world of Vvan.
During the event, the team spoke about the film’s expansive world and India’s rich reservoir of folklore. Speaking about it, Ektaa Kapoor said, “There are a lot of Easter eggs in the film. This is not folklore. It’ll give birth to many conspiracy theories. It’s the genesis of a whole new world. I am sure there is going to be a lot of fan fiction after the movie.”
Adding to this, Tamannaah said, “I feel the folklore we have in our country is so untapped. These were stories we had heard growing up, but they carried immense depth, and today, science is beginning to validate many of those ideas. Now that we are telling these stories, they feel relevant and meaningful. I’m glad they are being presented in a commercial format.”
Tamannaah also showered her co-star with praises and called him the nation’s heartthrob.
The actress added, “Be it millennials or Gen-Zs, I cannot tell you the number of friends and friends’ nieces that have called me, that I was working with Sid, and they were all so excited because everyone thinks that Sidharth is the heartthrob of our nation. So I am so excited that you chose to do this.”
