Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film Odela 2 now has an official release date. On March 22, she shared a new poster and revealed that the supernatural thriller is set to hit theatres on April 17, 2025. Tamannaah’s announcement has created excitement among fans eagerly awaiting her return to the thriller genre. More details about the cast and plot will be revealed closer to the release.
The new poster reveals Bhatia’s character soaked in blood. She shared it with the caption, “A presence to be felt.” The teaser of the movie was previously launched at the Maha Kumbh Mela on February 22, 2025. The actress was also present at the event. During an interview, Tamannaah Bhatia had shared, “It is a fantasy movie and is a fantastical theatrical experience. At the same time, it has a supernatural backdrop and a slight spiritual tone to it. All these elements were very fantastical.”
Adding further, she said, “And I enjoy that kind of cinema because growing up I loved films that were larger than life films that also took you into a different world. I found out that this film actually went to Kashi for the first time.”
The actress had also noted that the movie deals with issues that are faced in today’s day and age. “It is kind of relevant to us today, but it falls into the issues and problems that we face today as a society. It leaves you on a very high and empowering note. I feel like that’s what movies should do. They should make you hopeful because that’s why I became an actor. I became an actor because it made me, made me hopeful. This is what this film hopefully should do to people.”
The film is directed by Ashok Teja. Alongside Tamannaah, it also stars Hebah Patel, Vasishta N. Simha, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamsi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal and Pooja Reddy in leading roles.
