Veteran actress Himani Shivpuri recently met Ranbir Kapoor, and she expressed her admiration for his respectful demeanour. During their meeting, both Himani and Ranbir reminisced about their shared experience of watching a Broadway show together while filming Aa Ab Laut Chalen.
Himani shared a picture with Ranbir on her Instagram account and with it, she wrote in the caption, “Good morning! It was wonderful meeting Ranbir ! Such a warm, gracious and talented actor, he got up and touched my feet, complimenting me Maam you look the same!”
The actress shared that during this conversation, Ranbir reminisced about his time studying in the US, when he would visit the set of Aa Ab Laut Chalen. This film was directed by Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor, and starred Akshaye Khanna, Aishwarya Rai, and Rajesh Khanna in key roles. She also reminisced about the wonderful golden days and shared how Rishi Kapoor would encourage her and Ranbir to attend musicals.
She added, “Ha ha the Rk charm and sanskar, he recalled the Aa ab laut chalen days when he was studying in US and used to come on the sets, and Chintuji used to push him to go and watch plays and musicals with me! My first visit to US, besides shopping I was watching, the Broadway shows. It was amazing outdoor, the amazing RK hospitality, and we watched Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Music, and many more with Satish Kaushik, Paresh Rawal, Bhattiji, Saroj Khan,sometimes Ash …what a time..”
Himani Shivpuri is known for her roles in both movies and television. She has starred in movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Pardes, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and more. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is engrossed in the filming of his next project Love & War and is also anticipating a Diwali release of another big project – Ramayana: Part One.
