Tiger Woods is once again in the spotlight, but this time not for golf. The 15-time major winner was arrested on a DUI charge on Friday near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, after a crash involving his car. Just a day later, during the PGA Tour’s Houston Open, people in the crowd were seen wearing t-shirts with his mugshot printed on them, along with the words “FreeTiger.” The moment added another layer to an already serious situation.

The incident happened on Friday, March 28, 2026, when Tiger Woods was driving his Land Rover. Reports confirmed that his vehicle clipped a truck and then rolled over. Even though the crash looked serious, he managed to crawl out without major injuries. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek shared important details about the case. He revealed that Tiger Woods was moving at high speed at the time of the crash and was believed to be under the influence of “some type of medication or drug.” At the same time, alcohol was ruled out after Woods registered zero on a breath test.
