The famous actor Gurucharan Singh of TMKOC fame is currently facing a lot of problems, not just financially but regarding his health as well. If you remember, earlier Gurucharan Singh went missing for some days and then he returned on his own and recently there were reports that he is not keeping well as he didn’t eat anything for 19 days.
The team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently reached out to Gurucharan Singh amidst reports of his financial and health problems. According to Bhakti Soni, a close friend of the actor, the show’s publicist team contacted him but their conversation did not include any offers of financial assistance. Bhakti clarified that while Gurucharan Singh does not require monetary help, he is in need of work opportunities and she has been instrumental in helping him secure some.
Bhakti shared that Gurucharan Singh has landed a brand deal worth Rs 13 lakh, which will assist him in repaying his debts. She mentioned that he will soon travel to Mumbai to shoot for the project, adding that the deal came at the right time and even motivated him to break a fast he had been observing.
These developments follow Bhakti’s earlier revelations about Gurucharan Singh’s financial struggles, including a loan of Rs 1.5 crore. She explained that his father owns a property valued at Rs 55 crore but ongoing disputes with tenants have prevented the family from selling it to clear the debts. If resolved, the sale of the property could alleviate Gurucharan’s financial burden.
Gurucharan Singh, fondly remembered for playing the cheerful and lively Roshan Singh Sodhi on the show, was a key member of the original cast. His portrayal of the fun-loving and affectionate character made him a fan favourite. He left the show in 2012 but returned the following year due to popular demand. After his final exit in 2020, he was succeeded by actor Balwinder Singh Suri. While Gurucharan has moved on from the show, his off-screen challenges have drawn attention and efforts are underway to help him navigate this difficult time.
