Tom Holland is officially returning to the big screen for his fourth standalone outing as the friendly neighbourhood hero in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With the film set to release in cinemas across India on July 30, excitement has been high, especially after a recent reveal from the star himself about the status of Peter Parker’s secret identity.
At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker made the ultimate sacrifice, with a spell cast to ensure that the world forgot his identity. While fans initially believed this meant Peter was entirely alone, Tom has teased that the reality in the upcoming film might be different.
In a recent interview with IGN, Tom dropped a major hint about who might still be in the loop. He said, “I think no one remembers that I’m Spider-Man, apart from one person…” Adding to the mystery, Zendaya chimed in during the conversation, mentioning, “Nobody remembers that you’re Peter Parker. They know Spider-Man.”
Tom then reiterated the point, stating, “One person,” before deciding to hold back any further spoilers to keep the plot under wraps until the film’s release. Who this mysterious individual is remains one of the most talked-about questions ahead of the movie’s premiere. Fans have also been excited about Bruce Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo) being in the film. They mentioned about their anticipation about seeing him finally turn into the Hulk in the film.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day features a star-studded cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink. The movie will be released in six languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. As the countdown begins, audiences are eager to see how Peter Parker’s journey unfolds and, more importantly, which character has retained the memory of his true identity.
