The title for the next Spider-Man film is out. The fourth installment featuring Tom Holland’s Spidey is titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Director Destin Daniel Cretton also dropped hints about the project at CinemaCon in Las Vegas earlier today.
Tom Holland announces Spider-Man: Brand New Day
In a video announcement at CinemaCon, Tom Holland, who couldn’t attend in person, shared, “I am so sorry I can’t be with you. I am halfway around the world shooting a movie. I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”
The actor who is busy filming for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey added, “That’s all I’ve been allowed to say. And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried. I’m not going to do that today.” Cretton shared, “I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world. We’re all just daily nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Towards the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker erases his identity from the world. The emotional ending hints at a loaded next chapter.
Who is in Spider-Man 4?
Apart from Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play MJ and Ned, are expected to reprise their roles in the fourquel. More recently, Sadie Sink was announced as a cast member for the upcoming superhero film. The Stranger Things star’s character has not been unveiled. However, fans think she might play a younger Jean Grey after Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner’s iterations. So far, Sony hasn’t revealed the official cast list.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive in cinemas on July 31, 2026.
