According to a report by HT, Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, alleged that her son, Samarth, was assaulted by advocate, Anurag Srivastava when the proceedings took place in Jabalpur. When the heated exchange between the two had kind of intensified, Samarth was told to disclose why he was hiding within the complex of Jabalpur court after his wife, Twisha, died. Giribala had objected to the media trial related to the case, stating their lives are in danger. She said:
“The media trial must cease. Wherever we go, the media follows us; this must be stopped. Our lives are in danger.”
