During that time, she found a shoulder to cry on, and it was Vidhu Vinod Chopra. In a recent interview, Seema talked about her relationship with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. She refused to call him a ‘rebound’ and also shared why she rejected his marriage proposal.

Seema Kapoor recently sat for an interview with Siddharth Kannan and reflected on her relationship with Vidhu Vinod Chopra after her divorce from Om Puri. She was friends with Vidhu and his first wife, Renu Saluja. Talking about their bond, Seema said that she met Vidhu just after she left Om. She shared that both of them needed a shoulder back then, and it was what bonded them further, which eventually evolved. She also revealed being grateful for the friendship she found in Vidhu and she shared that they are still friends. In Seema’s words:
“After I left Om, I met Vinod, who was working on the film Khamosh. We were friends first, both of us needed a shoulder to cry on, and it just evolved into something else from there. I thank god for the friendship we had, because we’re still friends. Relationships end, but friendships don’t.”
