Ananya Panday is making waves with her new avatar as a lawyer in the much-anticipated Kesari Chapter 2. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film also features Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan. The courtroom drama’s trailer dropped today, and since then, it has become the talk of the town.
Among the many reactions, Ananya Panday’s rumoured boyfriend Walker Blanco’s shoutout has garnered attention. Taking to Instagram Stories, Blanco re-shared the film’s trailer. Tagging Ananya Panday, he dropped a popcorn emoji. He also re-posted a carousel of Ananya’s look from the trailer launch event in Delhi.

Ananya and Walker have sparked dating speculations on several occasions. The two reportedly met during Anant Ambai and Radhika Merchant’s wedding celebrations. For the unversed, Walker is a former model from Chicago and a wildlife enthusiast who is currently working at Vantara. More recently, Ananya and her sister Rysa’s comments on Walker’s post further fuelled rumours about their relationship.
Kesari Chapter 2’s trailer promises an impactful story
The trailer of the film introduces Akshay Kumar as C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer tasked with uncovering the dark truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. R Madhavan plays the opposition lawyer Neville McKinley. The two are all set to face off in the courtroom. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill, a female lawyer in a male-dominated field. When questioned, her character asserts, “Why are you surprised? Doesn’t your England have queens?” While the teaser of Kesari 2 got mixed reactions, the trailer seems to be well-received.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta and more. The film marks Akshay and Ananya’s first collaboration. It will release in theatres on April 18, 2025.
