The Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla 2025 took place in Kolkata on March 18, and some talented names in the Bengali film industry took home top honours. The star-studded evening was graced by some of the most prominent names in the Bengali film industry, and they sure made it an unforgettable night with their energy, charm and performance.
Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Raj Chakraborty and Puja Banerjee were the gracious hosts of the event. Big names from the Bengali film including Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Subhashree Ganguly, Mimi Chakraborty, Rituparna Sengupta, Srijit Mukherji and more, graced the red carpet.
The night also had in store some star-studded performances from celebrities. Subhashree Ganguly performed to some upbeat tracks, including Coca Cola and Mala Re, while Barkha Bisht brought her iconic charm to the stage with her most-trending song, Pyarelal. Puja Banerji grooved to many hit Bengali numbers and left the audience mesmerised. Singini, Debayan, and Cizzy’s songs were perfect for setting the mood for the evening, while Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s performance was appreciated by many. Parambrata and Srijit also promoted their upcoming film Killbill Society.
Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s film, Bohurupi, was one of the top winners of the evening. The director duo won the Black Lady for Best Director, and Mukherjee also won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) Award for the film. Subhashree Ganguly took home the Black Lady for Babli, as she was named Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for this film.
