Anant Ambani’s wedding with Radhika Merchant hogged the biggest limelight in 2024. Anant, the director of Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail Ventures the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani had kept their pre-wedding events at Jamnagar- a place close to the heart of the Ambanis. It is said that Anant and Radhika have known each other for many years as they had similar social circles and reportedly were friends from childhood. As passionate as Anant has been for Radhika, he has had a similar passion for Jamnagar. There was a time when Anant shared Radhika’s complaint of him working for 15-16 hours and devoting long hours to Jamnagar.

In a press statement, Mukesh Ambani once shared that Jamanagar was the birthplace of his grandmother and where his late dad, Dhirubhai Ambani, began their business. Anant, who has always been dedicating the majority of his time to his visionary project at Vantara, shared how his then-girlfriend, Radhika, used to complain as he used to devote 15 hours a day to his work. Anant, once in an interview with CNBC TV 18, shared:
“I have a philosophy. This is my passion project. I give one and a half hours of a day to Vantara where we do animal rescue. The rest of the time I am devoted to my father and give about 14 hours a day. 15 hours of work and 1 hour, no matter what however difficult it is. For me, Jamnagar is my home. I try to base myself here. Whenever I get a holiday, so Radhika complains a lot but Radhika now loves it. She also comes to take care of the animals. Radhika is a great support. She’s also got involved.”
