Bollywood actor, Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife, Tahira Kashyap, in 2018 was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She had undergone a mastectomy and fought the disease bravely by undergoing chemotherapy treatment. However, it was on April 7, 2025, when the filmmaker shared the heartbreaking news with the world that her cancer relapsed after seven years. Now, it was in 2018 when hell broke loose for Ayushmann, who was shaken when he first heard about his wife, Tahira, having breast cancer.

The clouds of dismay broke on Ayushmann and his family when Tahira was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. She came out of it because of her willpower, determination and love from her near ones. Before her cancer relapsed in 2025, it was in 2020 when she was declared cancer-free. However, the actor in an old My Ex-Breast podcast shared his shocking feeling when he first got to know that Tahira had breast cancer. Ayushmann could not digest what the doctor said and had to hide behind a pillar. He and his wife were in Delhi when the doctors told him that Tahira had breast cancer. Both of them were vulnerable and were at the hospital, and people were asking them for photos. The actor shared:
“I was hiding behind a pillar, the security guy, and feeling terrible. We were together in Delhi when we got to know about it from a doctor, we didn’t know at all. There was a time when both of us were very vulnerable sitting in a hospital. Again, you know people are asking for pictures where we were sitting by.”
