There has been a lot of buzz that the couple has opted for a divorce, as Mouni and Suraj’s fans noticed that they both unfollowed each other on social media. Now, amid their rumoured separation, an interview of Mouni has surfaced where she revealed of not considering Suraj as her partner.

Mouni Roy once sat down for an interview with India Today and spoke about marriage, love, and her bond with Suraj Nambiar. This was when she was promoting Temptation Island India which was a dating reality show with host, Karan Kunddra. During the chat, the actress was asked about love. Her answer had stunned all as she had rejected the stereotypical idea of calling a spouse as a better half. She had described marriage as a union between two people and had said that she did not consider Suraj as her better half. In her words:
“My idea of love is very simple. It’s a mix of respect, friendship and supporting each other. I don’t believe that he (Suraj Nambiar, Mouni’s husband) is my better half, I feel he is my biggest supporter and I am his. I am whole on my own and he is whole on his own. We have chosen to be with one another. It’s friendship and union because we love one another and we choose each other every single day.”
