When Salim Khan Did Not Speak To Salman Khan For Six Months

Salim Khan and his eldest son, Salman Khan share a special bond. The dad-son duo is spotted at family gatherings and events, and fans cannot get enough of their hearty photos together. While Salim has schooled and scolded all his children, he has been specifically strict with Salman Khan. In one of his interviews, he recalled how he would stop speaking to Salman from time to time, if he made errors.

While speaking about his family, especially his bond with Salman, Salim Khan said, “I have scolded all of them, but Salman has had it the worst from me, particularly since he is the eldest among them.” He noted that he scolded Salman when he quipped that he has many habits like Salim. “One day, he told me that his habits are very similar to mine. I said, ‘Son, it may be a compliment for you, but not for me. Please understand that I don’t wish you to inherit any of my habits,'” Khan said.

The veteran writer also mentioned that there have been times when he didn’t speak to Salman for months. “That has happened, yes. If he does something I don’t like or I feel that he has done something wrong, then I don’t talk to him,” he said.

Salim Khan was also photographed with Salman Khan at the trailer launch of Sikandar. The actor noted that the veteran writer wasn’t supposed to accompany but insisted on attending the event. “The love and respect he has earned are still intact. When I was leaving home to attend the trailer launch, he told me he would join me, too. Every member of our family looked at dad and asked, ‘What happened to you?’ When he came there, he climbed more than 8-10 steps to sit behind. He wanted to see the reaction of the press,” Salman noted at the trailer launch.
