The teen has been identified as Brailen Weaver, whose social media posts reportedly helped the investigators to track him down. Who is Brailen Weaver?
Brailen Weaver is an 18-year-old resident from Kentucky. He is accused of committing one of the state’s most terrifying bank shootings. According to federal authorities, Brailen allegedly entered a local branch of the U.S. Bank of Berea on April 30, 2026. He stepped in at nearly 1:57 p.m and wore a mask to conceal his identity. Brailen also entered the bank with a fireman. In turn, he immediately opened fire, asking everyone to step back. Authorities allege that he shot and killed a 42-year-old Brian Switzer and a 35-year-old Breanna Edwards. They both worked at the bank.
