While her abrupt removal had stirred heated discussion online, Bondi later revealed that she had been quietly battling thyroid cancer and recovering from surgery over the past few weeks.
Speaking to CBS recently, Pam Bondi, 60, revealed that despite her cancer, she has remained actively involved in public life and is expected to join President Donald Trump’s Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). In another interview with CNN, she shared that her cancer diagnosis came after she stepped down from her position back in April 2026.
