On May 20, Jr NTR may mark his birthday with a massive announcement. Haarika & Hassine Creations is set to officially unveil his biggest project yet. The mythological drama is currently known by its powerful working title, God of War. This ambitious story is said to draw from the rich mythology of Lord Kartikeya. Tarak (Jr NTR) will reportedly play the lead role as the divine figure. Trivikram Srinivas, one of the most prominent filmmakers in Telugu cinema, will helm the project.

The road to this announcement has been full of twists. The film was originally planned with Allu Arjun, whose fans were eager to see that collaboration. However, the actor chose to move ahead with Atlee’s Raaka. The project then shifted to Jr NTR. This shuffle between the two stars has kept the media buzzing for months. Meanwhile, fans of both superstars remained curious about who would ultimately take on the role. Now, it looks like Jr NTR’s fans are thrilled to see him step into a divine character.

This project comes at a time when Indian mythology is dominating the box office, with Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana films shaping up as massive multi-billion ventures. Jr NTR continues to prove his versatility across diverse backdrops. He played a freedom fighter in the global hit RRR, moved to a raw coastal world in Koratala Siva’s Devara, and stepped into the spy universe with his Bollywood debut in War 2.
The actor is also working on a high-octane action film titled Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. This variety highlights his growth as a pan-India star. With God of War, which may eventually get a different title, he returns to a grand mythological canvas. The film promises a rich visual and narrative experience. Producer S Naga Vamsi, associated with the project, has described it as a film that will make Indian cinema proud.
