The highly anticipated action drama Sikandar releases in a matter of days. Starring Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna, the AR Murugadoss directorial is expected to be a massy entertainer with a side of emotions. Sikandar’s final cut is reportedly locked and details of the film’s runtime are out.
In an interview with a leading news portal, AR Murugadoss revealed the film’s runtime. The film’s duration is 2 hours and 20 minutes. The director also shared that the first half of the film runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the second half is about 1 hour and 5 minutes. He further shared that Sikandar isn’t just a massy film but a family entertainer.
About Sikandar
The plot of Sikandar has been kept under wraps. However, we do know that the film will see Salman Khan play a man who fights corruption and champions the common people’s welfare. The film’s ensemble cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar, among others. Sikandar marks Salman and Rashmika’s first collaboration. It also marks Salman’s reunion with producer Sajid Nadiadwala after their 2014 film Kick.
Earlier, in a chat with the Times of India, AR Murugadoss opened up about Sikandar’s surprise element. He said, “Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend love story, but this is about a husband-wife relationship. It explores how families function today, how couples treat each other, and what we might be missing in our relationships. That will be the highlight of the film. Though Ghajini seemed to be a psycho thriller to the audience, the love story of Aamir and Asin was the surprise element. Similarly, here there’s an element of love which will move the audience.”
Sikandar’s special song
Filmfare had exclusively reported that Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna have shot for a special song. Our source shared, “It’s a remix of an iconic song by Lata Mangeshkar ji.”
Sikandar arrives in theatres this Eid.
