After Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, netizens started speculating whether there would be a third part. While the second part ended with Ranveer Singh’s character fulfilling his mission, fans expected more of the character and its back story.
Now, the film’s co-producer Jyoti Deshpande has hinted that there might be something more in store. During a recent interview, she said that they are not yet done and the team has a surprise for fans. Deshpande told Bollywood Hungama, “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves.”
However, a couple of weeks ago, Rakesh Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in the film, clarified that Dhurandhar 3 might not happen. The actor stated, “I don’t think a third part will happen. But Dhurandhar is a franchise, and it can be made with some other actors at any given point in time. The story ends with the spy going back to his nation.” It will be interesting to see what surprise the team has in store for the fans of the franchise.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars an ensemble cast featuring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and Danish Pandor, among others.
It follows Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan to dismantle its terror network from within. While the first part focused on Hamza building his credibility and rising through the ranks, the second part sees him carrying out his mission. The story also dives into his past, tracing how Jaskirat Singh Rangi transforms into Hamza Ali Mazari, the man behind the covert operation.
The franchise’s success is nothing short of historic. The first Dhurandhar, released in December 2025, earned approximately Rs 1300 crore globally. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released in March 2026, shattered even more records. It became the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 1100 crore mark domestically.
